Personal information
The personal data you provide us enable individual access to your account. They will help calculate your savings in CO2 by using information on your vehicle, facilitate the transfer of WinO2 units from one ridesharer to another and allow you to benefit from subsidies provided by works councils or communities belonging to EcoWin.
In accordance with current French legislation, in particular the law dated January 76, 1978, concerning information technology and personal freedom, you may access, rectify or remove your personal data on the site.
Your IDs
Your e-mail address serves as your user name when you connect to your account. It cannot be modified, in contrast to your password, which can be personalized. These IDs enable you to access your personal account to take advantage of EcoWin services and manage your WinO2 units.
Security is our leading concern
All your transactions and account actions are secured, from the purchase of WinO2, units to the transactions between ridesharers and the refund of your earnings. With the Crédit Mutuel bank solution, when you pay using a bank card, you are redirected to the secure Crédit Mutuel servers. During the entire payment phase, you dialog directly with the bank’s secure payment server. Your personal information never circulates in a non-encrypted form on the Internet and the transaction is carried out directly between banks. When payment is authorized, you are redirected to the EcoWin site. Thus, for your security and ours, your bank ID information is never stored on our site.
Encryption is an indispensable way to ensure a high level of transaction security. We have adopted the SSL encryption process to protect all data tied to personal information and means of payment. In all secured areas where the URL address begins with https:// (the “s” signifies “secured”), information in encrypted and therefore protected before being sent over the Internet. When this happens, you will see a lock or key in your browser bar.
Rules of good conduct
Ridesharing is based on a voluntary relationship of trust between drivers and passengers. The EcoWin company does not interfere with this relationship. In case of litigation (for example, the driver does not provide transportation or the passenger refuses to pay), EcoWin cannot intervene. However, if members so desire, they may inform EcoWin, who will change the “reliability index” concerning drivers and passengers. This index is displayed when trip arrangements are being made.Upon registration, members commit to respecting terms of use, current legislation and rules of proper conduct. These terms may be consulted at all times.
Remember that EcoWin reserves the right to cancel membership if, for example, the company becomes aware of the following information concerning drivers:
* license is absent or invalid
* vehicle is not properly insured
* vehicle is in poor condition and has not been technically approved
* driver has committed a driving offense
EcoWin will not tolerate site visitors who attempt to pirate, appropriate or obtain advantages in a fraudulent manner. We take the protection of member security very seriously and commit to offering total fairness.
Non-personal information
For company research and in order to respond effectively to your needs, we may use non-personal and non-specific information to produce statistics on the general activity of EcoWin accounts, including on transaction models or account preferences. These initiatives will never include identifiable personal information without the consent of users.Protection of information
